Live at IBMS Congress: Day 3
Sonic Healthcare UK had another day full of activity as the exhibition continued, allowing delegates to explore the various points of interest on our stand.

Every zone was a conversation starter, whether attendees were waiting for a coffee with our signature helix dusted on top, or around the Plinko game winning Sonic-branded giveaways.

A new addition to our freebies were the keyrings and magnets. This was a collaborative experience involving our staff, where they had to create designs depicting their discipline. Six winners were chosen and their designs have been a hit at Congress.

Four more of our colleagues presented their scientific research in the poster competition today. Senior Biomedical Scientist, Gulseren Akgul, presented ‘WHO Cervical Cancer Elimination and removing barriers to screening engagement: A primary HPV screening laboratory experience of testing self-collected samples’.
Biomedical Scientist, Renzyl Gillespy, presented ‘Reassessment of Her-2 Testing in the Context of Her-2-low’.
Emuobo presented ‘HPV-Associated Cancers: Histopathology Insight’, and Quality Manager, Sahar Zargarzadeh, presented ‘Clinicopathological correlation of PD-L1 and CD8 expression in a series of 100 DNA mismatch repair protein proficient (pMMR) and deficient (dMMR) colorectal cancers’.
They all did incredibly well and we were proud to support them. All posters will soon be available to view on our website after the event.
Well done to Joanne Bullivat who was the second winner of an Amazon voucher – delegates still have one more chance to win!
Join us tomorrow for our last ‘Live at Congress’ summary as the event concludes.
